Imagination Station has an ever changing calendar of events that makes every visit to the science center different from the last. With events for kids of all ages, you're sure to find fun for the entire family. Below is a listing of current and upcoming events.
Experience an exhilarating journey as you dodge snow-covered trees on the mountainside, balance on the edge of a cliff, outrun an avalanche of boulders and careen down an abandoned mine shaft.

Experience a new reality with an adventure back in time 65 million years. Actively engage in a unique and entertaining learning experience and discover roaring, moving, life-size, animatronic dinosaurs.

We’re putting the scare into scary for a hair raising, bone chilling, spine tingling science event.

This monthly program covers a variety of topics – from chemistry to astronomy and all the fun, messy science in-between!

Have a blast earning your pin, badge and belt loop with our live demonstrations, ever-changing activities in Science Studio and unlimited fun!

Experience things you can’t replicate in the classroom as we celebrate the wonders of chemistry at Imagination Station.
We will be open from 10am – 5pm – all active and inactive military personnel and veterans will get in for FREE*!
Join Imagination Station for fun, science festivities after The Blade Holiday Parade. Explore the science museum, meet special guests and get your photo taken with Santa Claus.
November 18 – 23
Impress your family this Thanksgiving with a little bit of science! Learn all the tips and tricks of doing science at the dinner table with interactive experiments.
December 2 – January 4
The weather outside is frightful, but our science is so delightful. Frostology will explore the slippery science of snow, make engineers out of elves and create masterpieces from paper with our holiday-themed activities and demonstrations.
December 4, 6 – 8pm
Reserve your spot for this members-only pajama dance party with the big guy, Santa Claus. This festive night blends holiday cookies and cocoa with cool science.
December 27 & 28, Noon – 4pm
Learn the art of Scherenschnitte (paper cutting) with snowflake expert, Mary Gaynier. Make beautiful creations to decorate your home all winter.

Build It! visits Imagination Station. Build a giant snowflake out of K’NEX, race LEGO sleds and even send reindeer soaring across the room! Included in the cost of admission. Join us for one of our open workshops or reserve your spot in one of our Members-only workshops.

Get up-close and personal with a life-size, baby T. rex! Be prepared to step back in time and meet this giant, anatomically-perfect, realistic puppet which stands over 8′ tall and 12′ long! Included in the cost of admission. Timed ticketing required.

Air surrounds us every day, and we hardly ever stop to think about how powerful it really is. Explore the strange properties of air with some air-raising experiments at Imagination Station all month long.

Rock out and discover the science and history behind the instrument that revolutionized music: the guitar. Explore all facets of the world’s most popular instrument – from its evolution into an instrument of popular culture to the science of creating sound with wood and steel.

Help us celebrate as we Think It. Build It. Test It… Do It Again! Explore the engineering design process and discover that creativity and imagination are essential skills for an engineer.
